Started as a special teacher in 1969. Studied Pedagogics at the University of Nijmegen and doctorate at the University of Leiden. Special Pedagogy Lecturer at the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen since 1979. Became Head of the Department Education.
Published about Teacher Training and Children with Special Needs. Co-ordinated several International Tempus Projects like Prisma, InFocus, with involved countries like Russia, Macedonia. He is partner in several International Projects with the focus on Inclusive Education. Started a private initiative with a Chinese University in Jiamusi. Introduced the Reggio Emilia Approach into The Netherlands. After retiring in 2009 he became an International Consultant.

Professor Risto Petrov PhD, was born in Negotino in 1948. He is a graduate of the Belgrade Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation in 1981, where he later obtained his M.A. (1992). He obtained PhD degrees in 1995 on the same Faculty. He has a 25 years of working experience in the Special Institution – Demir Kapija. He has worked for13 years on the Faculty of Philosophy from which 5 years he has been a Head of the Institute. He is a member of the Association for special educators, the Macedonian Scientific Autism Association; member of the Board of the Special Olympics in Macedonia; member of the National coordinative body for equal possibilities for the persons with disabilities, and a member of the board of the Institution for rehabilitation of the hearing, voice and speech. He interest is in the field of: treatment of the persons with hard and combined disabilities, professional orientation and engagement of the persons with disabilities, boarding upbringing and educational work with people with disabilities and children with autism. He was the coordinator of the following projects: project for deinstitutionalization which was in cooperation with UNICEF; condition of the children placed in public institutions in Republic of Macedonia in cooperation with CRIC, an NGO from Italy and the project “Society for all-Workplace for all” in cooperation with SINTEF, Norway.

Dr Nevzeta Salihovic was born in Tuzla in 1951. She is Associate Editor of the "Journal of Defectology". She graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation in 1979 at the Department of hearing disorders, and in 1988 she graduated at the Department of logopedics. She received her MSc degree in 1998 at the Medical school, University of Tuzla, and in 2002 she received her PhD at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation, University of Tuzla. Prof. Nevzeta holds positions of the dean of the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation, University of Tuzla, and head of the Department of Logopedics. She also holds position of associate professor at the Department of logopedics, University of Tuzla and teaches following subjects: speech disorders, voice disorders, swallowing disorders and logopedic diagnostics. Her professional and research interest include speech and language pathology, voice and speech disorders. She also coordinated several projects. Prof. Nevzeta also coordinated Bosnia Speech and Hearing Project in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina which lasted from 1996 to 2006., this project was performed in cooperation with American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists. In addition to this, she also coordinated CDP+ Project "Voice disorders"/"Articulation and phonological disorders", 2006 supported by WUS Austria, and was awarded with 2. place at CDP+ and eCP Awarding Ceremony. Prof. Nevzeta is president of Association of logopedists in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dr. Ajdinski Ljupcho is born 28.04.1930 professor, scientist and humanist. He finished pedagogical studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje and special education and rehabilitation at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation in Belgrade, where he defended his doctoral thesis. He was a full professor at the University in Belgrade till 1992 and at the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation in Skopje from 1993 to 2000 when he retired. He has had 18 books published, monographs and textbooks and over 120 professional-scientific works in national and international magazines. He is the founder of the contemporary theoretical bases of scientific special education and rehabilitation and practice, of the contemporary system for integral approach in rehabilitation of mentally retarded people in the country and the founder of the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje. He has participated and managed more than 10 national and international research projects. He established many professional magazines and was an editor in chief of: Special Education and Rehabilitation, Theory and Practice, Message, Social Policy, as well as organizations for people with disabilities, and an honored president of some of them. As the deputy Minister of Health and Social Policy he participated in creating the systems for social care of children and care, education and rehabilitation of people with disabilities, as well as in establishing institutions in this field in the Republic of Macedonia. He was a delegate of the Federal Board of the Federal Assembly in Belgrade. He was awarded many national and international prizes and recognitions due to national ans social interest in science, education, humanity and his lifework.
Viviana Langher PhD – Member of editorial board

Viviana Langher is born in Roma on July 14th 1965. At Roma University “Sapienza”, in 1992 she graduated summa cum laude in Psychology; in 1996, she then specialized in Clinical Psychology, again graduating summa cum laude; and in 2003 she obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology.
Since 2003, she has been a staff member of the Faculty of Psychology at “Sapienza” university, currently as professor of Clinical Psychology, teaching “Fundamentals of Clinical Psychology” and “Methods and techniques for the evaluation of interventions in clinical psychology”. She is the director of the post-graduate course: Clinical Psychology for the Person, the Organizations and the Community.
Her research activities are focused on several topics: early communicative abilities in newborns, attachment theory and its clinical implication, qualitative and quantitative analysis of inclusive processes in Italy and abroad; gender-based violence; and methodologies of evaluation of psychological clinical intervention.
She is the scientific head of several international projects aimed at supporting the quality of inclusive processes in foreign countries. Italian being her mother tongue, she fluently speaks English and Serbian.

Dr Natasha Chichevska Jovanova was born in Shtip in 1971. She is member of the Editorial board of the Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation. She is a graduate of the Belgrade Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation in 1994, where she later obtained her M.Sc. (2001). She obtained PhD degrees in 2008 on the Faculty of Philosophy. She introduced subjects “Methodic of early treatment and preschool education of children with disabilities”, “Methodic of education of mild mental retarded pupils”, “Methodic of educative working with persons with severe and combined disability”, “Somatopedy”. She is the president of the Commission for publishing in the frames of the Association of Special Educators and Rehabilitators of the Republic of Macedonia and she is also member of the Macedonian Association for Autism. During her work on the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation she got certificates for “Reeducation of psycho-motorics”, “Occupational therapy”, and “Musical therapy” and she took a part on lot of seminars, symposiums, educative conferences, as like as in the studies programs in Reggio Emila- Italy and Arhnem- Holland. During the past years she participated in preparing and realization of a many scientific-expert projects including the projects: “Advancement of the carefulness and treatment of the children with disabilities” in the frames of Ministry for labour and social work and GTZ, “Improvement of the life conditions for persons with cerebral palsy” leaded by Handicap International (2000), “Modernization of the education” by TEMPUS (2006/07), she is also responsible for the “Innovative educative program for children with disabilities”.

Dr Daniela Dimitrova-Radojichikj was born in Veles in 1971. She is member of the Editorial board of the Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation. She is a graduate of the Belgrade Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation in 1994, where she later obtained her M.Sc. (2001). She obtained PhD degrees in 2007 on the Faculty of Philosophy. She introduced subjects “Methodic of early treatment and preschool education of children with disabilities”, “Methodic of education of visual impairment pupils”; her research interest is education and rehabilitation of visual impairment peoples. She is the president of the Commission for professional improving and holding professional meetings in the frames of the Association of Special Educators and Rehabilitators of the Republic of Macedonia and she is also member of the Macedonian Association for Autism and International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment (ICEVI). During her work on the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation she took a part on lot of seminars, symposiums, educative conferences, as like as in the studies programs in Reggio Emila- Italy and Arhnem- Holland. During the past years she participated in preparing and realization of a many scientific-expert projects including the projects: “In focus” by TEMPUS, Teaching Training for Children with SEN within of the of Ministry of Education - Macedonia-World Bank she is also responsible for the “Innovative educative program for children with disabilities”.
Tsafi Timor, Ph.D – Member of Editorial Board

Dr. Tsafi Timor was born in Israel. She is the Head of a Masters program (M. Teach) at the Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology & The Arts in Tel Aviv, Israel. She is a graduate of Tel Aviv University (English literature, French Culture and language, and Special Education). Tsafi obtained her M.Sc from Leicester University, UK, in Applied Psychology (1998). Her thesis focused on the relationship between learning disabilities and criminal behaviors. She obtained her Ph.D also from Leicester University in 2003. Her thesis focused on the inclusion of teenage students with special needs (particularly learning disabilities) in mainstream education.
Tsafi has taught English and Special Education in a secondary school for many years and has specialized in teaching students with language disorders and disabilities. Tsafi is a psycho-educational diagnostician of learning disabilities, with a special expertise in learning disabilities in foreign language acquisition. For the past 10 years she teaches academic courses on learning disabilities, the integration of students with special needs in mainstream classes, and pedagogy at The Kibbutzim College of Education (Department of Special Education, English language education, Faculty of Education).
Her main research interests are the inclusion of students with learning disabilities in mainstream education, learning disabilities in foreign languages, the identification of special needs and remedial teaching, teacher development. Tsafi is part of the editorial board of The Electronic Journal for Inclusive Education (Wright State University, USA). She has more than 30 articles published in local and international journals.
Goran Nedović PhD – Member of Editorial Board

Dr Goran Nedovic is a full professor at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation. His field of academic expertise is a special education and rehabilitation of people with motor disabilities. Work in the profession, started in elementary school, "Braca Ribnikar" in Bijelo Polje, as associate. He has been working as an assistant-teaching assistant at University of Montenegro, Podgorica Medical Institute. Dr Goran Nedovic is involved in teaching at other higher education Institutions: University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Medicine and University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Medicine – Special Education and Rehabilitation. He was a member of the working group of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the development of the Millennium Development Goals for education. The scientific and professional work of Dr Goran Nedović includes several thematic areas: motor behavior of people with disabilities (people with motor disabilities, people with intellectual disabilities and people with sensory impairments), the study of the functional characteristics of persons with motor disabilities and the development of new methodological framework of preventive corrective work in special education and rehabilitation.

Dr David Preece was born in Birmingham UK in 1957. After graduating from the University of Birmingham in 1978, he trained as a teacher at the University of Leicester, receiving his Post-Graduate Certificate in Education in 1979. He worked for many years in health and social care settings, and developed and managed the first autism-specific social care services for children on the autism spectrum in the United Kingdom. He obtained a MEd in Special Education (Autism) in 2001, and a PhD in 2010, both from the University of Birmingham. From 2001 to 2010 he worked as a regional tutor for the University of Birmingham, teaching on the University’s distance education and web-based autism courses. Since 2012 he has worked at the University of Northampton, where he is based within the Centre for Education and Research.
His main research interests are in the field of autism, particularly with regard to the lived experience of individuals on the spectrum and their families. He has also undertaken research and published in the fields of profound multiple and learning disabilities and multiple impairments. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, and a member of the International Society for Autism Research and Autism Europe. He regularly reviews for a number of peer-reviewed journals, as well as acting as a grant reviewer for the British Council and the National Science Centre, Poland. He has worked on multiple funded research projects and is currently the principal investigator on a European Commission-funded project developing parent education in autism. He joint-edited the book ‘Supporting Pupils on the Autism Spectrum’ (Optimus Press, 2013) and has authored or co-authored multiple papers published in peer reviewed journals.
