REVIEW ON LAW FOR EMPLOYEMENT OF DISABLED PEOPLE
Georgi GRUJEVSKI
Association of Organizations for
Disabled People of Macedonia
Abstract
Employment of disabled persons is a very important factor for the life of this category of people. Besides acquiring a social security, the employment itself of such a disabled person is accompanied by many other positive effects. These people lose the feeling for being abandoned by the community, restore their lost self-confidence and the feeling that they are useless members of their families and the community, and on the other side the state itself justifies the financial resources invested in the process of rehabilitation and education of disabled people.
The difference between employment of disabled people in the open economy and the shelter companies is only that the shelter companies, besides disabled people, employ other people and use tax exemptions regulated by the law, which is not the case with the open economy.
The implementation of the Law with the latest changes is in process and we expect to see whether the state is on its right path to overcome the problem for employment of disabled people.
