На 13-ти и 14-ти мај 2010 година, во Бристол, Велика Британија се одржа конгрес со наслов „Најдобрите практики од медицината во однос на интелектуалната попреченост“, во организација на Европската aсоцијација за медицина на интелектуална попреченост (MAMH – European Association of Intellectual Disability Medicine), “Indis International” и “ALDERN” – Avon Learning Difficulties Education and Research Network) – Авон, Oрганизација за едукација на тешкотии во учењето и истражувачка мрежа. Основната замисла на конгресот беше повеќе од деведесет гости од над 20 различни земји од светот да ги презентираат најдобрите политики, практики, тренинзи, мрежна работа поврзана со лицата со интелектуална попреченост, од земјите кои ги претставуваат, со што ќе се овозможи размена на искуства, нови информации, иновации и достигнувања, како и подобрување на квалитетот на животот преку овозможување на подобар пристап до здравствена грижа и заштита на децата и возрасните со интелектуална попреченост.
На конгресот учествуваа доктори, медицински сестри и други здравствени работници од повеќе земји: Австралија, Австрија, Англија, Белгија, Велс, Данска, Ирска, Италија, Канада, Македонија, Молдавија, Норвешка, Полска, Холандија, Унгарија, Чешка, Швајцарија, Шведска, Шкотска, Шпанија. Единствен претставник од Р. Македонија беше  проф. д-р Владимир Трајковски од Институтот за дефектологија при Филозофскиот факултет во Скопје, кој, со одличен настап поздравен од сите присутни, се претстави со темата: „Здравствениот систем на лицата со интелектуална попреченост во Македонија“.
Учеството на проф. д-р Владимир Трајковски покажа дека Македонија не заостанува во оваа научна област во однос на светската практика и овозможи воспоставување на нови контакти, размена и црпење на позитивни искуства од практиките во другите земји.

On the 13th and 14th of May 2010, in Bristol, the United Kingdom, was hosted a congress with theme ”Best Practices in Intellectual Disability Medicine” in organization of the MAMH-European Association of Intellectual Disability Medicine, “indis international” - best practice in intellectual disability medicine and “ALDERN” - Avon Learning Difficulties Education and Research Network. The main concept of the congress was more than 90 guests from more than 20 countries to present the best politics, practices, training, and networking in regards to individuals with intellectual disability in their own countries. The aim was to enable exchange of the experiences, new information, innovations and achievements, as well as improving of the life quality by enabling better approach for health care and prevention for children and adults with intellectual disability.
The congress hosted doctors, nurses and other health-medical workers from several countries: Australia, Austria, England, Belgium, Wales, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Canada, Macedonia, Moldavia, Norway, Poland, Netherlands, Hungary, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Scotland, Spain. The single representative from the Republic of Macedonia was Prof. Dr. Vladimir Trajkovski, coming from the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Philosophy in  Skopje. Trough excellent performance which was saluted by all participants, he introduced the topic of ”The health system for individuals with intellectual disability in Macedonia”.
Prof. Dr. Vladimir Trajkovski’s participation at the congress presented the significant progress in Macedonia in the scientific area of interest in comparison to the world practice. His participation also enabled the establishment of new contacts and exchange, as well as getting positive experiences from the others countries’ practices.
