MEDICIAL AND
SOCCIOLOGICAL ASPECTS
OF THE SECRETION OTIT AT CHILDREN AGE
Secretory
otitis media /SOM/ is an inflammatory middle ear disease with a heterogeneous
and unpredictable course. The pathogenesis is in correlation with production
and accumulation of effusion behind an intact ear drum without signs of acute
inflammation. In spite of all diagnostic difficulties, the early detection of
this disease and adequate treatment have
medical and social importance.
